David Robinson

Owner, The Natural Room.

David is a passionate advocate for the importance of high quality furniture. David has been designing and manufacturing one-off custom pieces for Architects and Interior Designers and his own customers for more than 30 years, his portfolio is extensive.

David’s passion for furniture has led him to both study and teach in Interior Design and Furniture Technology at both RMIT and Monash Universities. David is also a qualified Cabinet Maker which gives him a unique ability to both design and resolve the manufacturing process for furniture, fittings and installations in interior spaces. David has over 30 years experience in the Furniture Design and manufacturing industries. He has developed extensive experience in working with a range of materials and has relationships with local craftspeople and technicians to enable him to design complex manufacturing systems that ensure that every step of the process is delivered locally and to an exceptional standard.

The Natural Room allows David to bring his knowledge of interior design elements, passions for furniture and love of showcasing locally produced product to customers at a retail level. The Natural Room is not just a retail outlet. It is a working design studio.
